Dream State
2026
Oil on unstretched raw cotton canvas
30 × 40 cm
Dream State emerged from a dream of the life I long to live. Afraid the feeling would disappear upon waking, I immediately picked up my paintbrushes to preserve it. Rooted in the belief that we are constantly moving between memory, imagination, desire, and reality, the painting reflects the idea that life itself is a kind of dream state. Through color and symbolism, the work becomes both a record of a fleeting feeling and an invitation to imagine the worlds we wish to create for ourselves.
Reliquia: It Came To Me In a Dream
2026
Acrylic on canvas
61 × 76 cm
Reliquia: It Came To Me In a Dream is a dedication to Mexico, Frida Kahlo, and the transformative power of dreams. Inspired by a vision that lingered long after waking, the painting explores memory as a collection of fragments—moments, places, emotions, and encounters that remain with us long after they have passed. Part of my ongoing series Reliquia, the work reflects my belief that these fragments do not simply belong to our past; they become part of us, quietly shaping who we are and how we move through the world. In many ways, memories are our most valuable assets, carried across time and preserved within us long after a moment has ended.
